In an attempt to curb inflation, which reached a 40-year high in 2022, companies have been reducing their usage of the term "headwinds" during phone discussions. So far, corporate executives have only mentioned the term 31 times during earnings conference calls, significantly lower than the 70 times in the fourth quarter of last year. However, recent consumer price reports in June indicate a deceleration in inflation.
