Meta元宇宙部巨亏213亿美元，陷“黑洞”

Meta Platforms (META.O) announced its second-quarter financial report today, stating that its Reality Labs division, which develops virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, reported an operating loss of $3.7 billion. Last year, Reality Labs incurred a total loss of $13.7 billion, with revenue of $2.16 billion, partly driven by the company's Quest VR headset. Combined with the first-quarter loss of $3.99 billion, this brings the company's total losses since the beginning of last year to approximately $21.3 billion. Meta stated in its earnings report that it expects Reality Labs' operating loss to "significantly increase" year-on-year due to continued product development efforts in augmented reality/virtual reality and further investments in expanding the ecosystem.
