On June 28, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning, presided over a regular press conference. A journalist asked a question, stating that according to reports, China's newly revised Anti-Spy law will come into effect on July 1st. Some commentators believe that after the implementation of the Anti-Spy law, foreign nationals in China may encounter difficulties in searching for and storing Chinese statistical data. Some people are also concerned that this may restrict the activities of foreign journalists. What is China's comment on this?

"It is unnecessary to associate the implementation of the Anti-Spy law with the activities of foreign journalists. China has always welcomed foreign media and journalists to engage in reporting and interviewing activities in accordance with the law and regulations in China. We provide convenience and assistance to them. As long as they operate within the legal framework, there is nothing to worry about," Mao Ning said. (CCTV news)
